Job Opening: Youth Basketball Official 3rd-8th Grade
Pay: $9-11/HOUR
Description: The main role of a basketball official/referee is to make sure that the rules of the game they are officiating are being followed by all players. A referee will explain the rules as needed and ensure that all participants understand these rules. Referees make calls regarding when these rules are broken and assess penalties. Officials will instruct players and coaches when needed. A referee needs to work as a team and support other officials.
Qualifications: Must be at least 15 years old. Previous experience playing basketball in an organized league is expected.
Physical/Environmental Factors: This work requires physical strength and agility to perform the work, including running, sprinting, keeping up with the players during the games, and minor bending and lifting; Also requires working with the public in sometimes stressful situations.

Qualifications: Must be at least 14 years old and have a knowledge of the fundamentals for basketball. Previous experience playing in a basketball league is helpful.
